After downloading Glyphy from the App Store, the keyboard is not active yet. You need to add it manually in iOS Settings:
Full Access is required for any keyboard that uses system features like Location, the clipboard, or the Translator. It's a system permission, not a privacy concession — Glyphy never sends data to any server.
Open any app where you can type (Messages, Notes, WhatsApp…). Tap the globe icon at the bottom-left of the keyboard, or long-press it to pick Glyphy from the list. Tap the keyboard icon at the top of Glyphy to open the tools panel.
Make sure Glyphy is enabled in Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards. If it's listed but not switching, try removing it and adding it again. Also restart the host app once.
The tools panel is opened with the small keyboard icon at the top-left of Glyphy (next to the apps row). If you don't see it, you might be in a sub-mode (emoji, drawing, etc.). Tap the back arrow at the top of the panel to return.
Theme changes take effect immediately. If a theme isn't applying, close the Glyphy main app fully (swipe up from the bottom and swipe Glyphy off the screen), then reopen any chat — the keyboard will rebuild with the new theme.
The Translator requires an internet connection. Make sure your iPhone has Wi-Fi or cellular data, and that Glyphy has Full Access enabled (required to make network calls).
Open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone. Tap Glyphy in the list, then tap Cancel Subscription. Your Premium features stay active until the end of the current billing period.
Sign in to the same Apple ID you used to purchase Premium, then open Glyphy and go to Settings → Restore Purchases. Your subscription will be re-applied automatically.
No. Glyphy has zero analytics SDKs, no tracking, and makes no network calls except for features that explicitly require it (Translator, Geocoding for Location). Everything else stays on your device, including encryption keys, themes, and shortcuts.
Not yet. Glyphy v1.0 is iPhone-only. iPad support with split-keyboard layouts and floating tool panels is on the roadmap for an upcoming version.
The first time you use the Encryption tool, Glyphy sets up encryption right on your device. The key never leaves your device. When you encrypt a message, only the recipient you choose can read it — no messaging app, and not even Glyphy, can decrypt it.
